• Matthew Hole, the former Chief Technology Officer of Morgan to become Managing Director.
Malvern, 9 October 2024
The Morgan Motor Company has today announced that CEO Massimo Fumarola is leaving the company for personal reasons. Having led the company’s engineering and R&D functions since 2021, Matthew Hole will take over the role of Managing Director. His experience will ensure the delivery of Morgan’s strategic product plan going forward.
Fumarola and Hole previously worked together closely and oversaw the recent launches of the highly acclaimed Morgan Midsummer and the renewed Plus line models. This experience is a sound basis for Hole to achieve Morgan’s future business growth, including the long-awaited introduction of the Plus Four into the United States.
Massimo Fumarola, CEO, Morgan Motor Company, said:
“Leading Morgan for the last three years has been a great privilege and pleasure of my professional life. I leave Morgan with a sincere sense of affection, pride and gratitude to all colleagues, shareholders, dealers and customers. I have been part of an extraordinary team and I thank everyone who has been on this incredible journey with me. I am deeply convinced about their capabilities and the potential of such a unique brand. I wish Matt and the team a long series of successes.”
Matthew Hole, Managing Director, Morgan Motor Company, said:
“Joining Morgan three years ago was an enormous honour for me, and to now be appointed MD is an even greater honour. I would like to thank Massimo, whose passionate and expert leadership has greatly benefitted the company. We all wish him every success in the future.
Looking to the future, I look forward to continuing the company’s strategy of international growth, supported by an exciting strategic product development plan. Morgan has a rich and successful heritage, and we have proved countless times that the brand can adapt and change whilst continuing to offer hand- crafted sports cars that are loved by our global customers. My goal is to make sure that Morgan’s future is even more illustrious than its past. I know every single one of our employees has the talent and ambition to make that happen.”
