We are pleased to announce that this event is now open for booking.
Hotel accommodation has been arranged at the newly re-opened and extensively refurbished Ripon Inn in Ripon, North Yorkshire which has secured parking and is conveniently situated 6 miles from Mouse Hall – the Gymkhana venue.
The outline plan is as follows:
Friday 11 am – Meet at the Motorist Café, beside Sherburn Aero Club New Lennerton Lane, Leeds LS25 6JE for a welcome drink and bacon & sausage butties (or veggie alternative). Followed by a scenic drive to the hotel in time to explore Ripon and relax before supper at the hotel.
Saturday – After breakfast there will be a short scenic run to Mouse Hall where the Gymkhana will take place during the day. As it is a special 20th Anniversary event professional caterers will be present at lunchtime to provide an included gourmet barbeque inc. veggie alternatives plus a choice of desserts. Drinks are BYO. Later supper will take place at the hotel probably with a quiz.
Sunday – there will be an optional scenic drive & visit to a local visitor attraction – TBA and for those staying the optional Sunday night return to Ripon Inn to either eat in the hotel or select from the many nearby restaurants & pubs.
The hotel has a minimum 2-night stay – Dinner B&B (Friday & Saturday) with Sunday B&B as an option. Full payment is required 6 weeks before the event.
The costs shown on the booking form include the welcome drink & butty on Friday, the gourmet BBQ on Saturday, plus goody bag, rally plaque, prizes etc.
Arrangements for members who wish to stay nearby or just come as day visitors will be circulated shortly.
